Legoland Resort Hotel, Malaysia

Legoland Resort Hotel, Malaysia

Last October we went on a magical family trip to Legoland Resort Malaysia. One of the #perksofpinas is actually being in a region where travel can be affordable. We’re just a short flight from Malaysia and we seized the opportunity for a memorable family trip. I am super happy to have partnered with Legoland Malaysia for a serious of posts that share all my insider tips and tricks to maximize your own trip to Legoland Malaysia. Enjoy!

The Legoland Hotel is an experience all on it’s own. If you can afford it, the resort hotel is a MUST! I jokingly say that you could take your kids to the Legoland Hotel and tell them it’s the main resort park, it’s that fun!

The designers who created the Legoland Hotel captured pure magic and allow every guest an invitation to experience the wonder. Even the hotel lobby is an incredible experience with pirate boats and castles filled with Lego to be built, it’s something special. The resort park closes early at 6 pm but the Legoland Hotel offers enough that the fun really never ends.

The Lego theme never stops at Legoland Resort Hotel. From themed rooms, to elevator lobbies and bathrooms there will be Lego everywhere! The themed details make the experience all the merrier because the fun never stops!

Themed Rooms|

The themed rooms are a highlight at the hotel. Most accommodations around the world aren’t this kid friendly. In fact, at Legoland Resort hotel they cater to children and the kids at heart. Each level of the resort has a different room. Two years ago we stayed in the ‘Pirate’ theme and this year we had the ‘Adventurer’ theme.

We were curios to see what other floors looked like so adventured on up to the Ninjago floor, I bet the rooms are amazing!

No detail is left behind! Look closely, can you find a game for children to play? A friendly Lego animal (or 2).

Each room has a bunk bed with a top and bottom bed and then a third mattress that can be pulled out from the bottom bunk. Our family comfortably fit with all 3 boys on the kids section and mom and dad in the king size bed. I love that the beds are king size because the creators know that little ones sneak into their parents bed at night. Every detail is taken into account!

Of course the funnest part for my kids is completing the adventure quest! In each room there is a vault safe that is locked with Lego inside for each child. You must complete the adventure quest which has questions about the hidden objects around the room in order to figure our the code to unlock the safe. It is pure excitement!

Themed Restaurant, Elevators and Bathrooms!|

Legoland Resort Hotel has three themed restaurants, Bricks Family Restaurant (also has as mall cafe in front), Kai’s Sushi and Di Mattoni. We took our complimentary breakfast every morning Bricks Family restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the extensive options. We didn’t eat at Kai’s Sushi or Di Mattoni as they are quite on the pricey side.

*I will be sharing more about food tips and tricks in a post later next week. Keep an eye out!

During our breakfasts we played a game to count how many Lego chefs we could find.

Right outside Bricks Restaurant is a building area with large foam Lego and a large tv screen where movies are play in the evening.

Even the elevators and waiting area is kid friendly!

Bathrooms are the most underrated and overlooked space in a home/residence and I love how Legoland utilized the decor and space.

Activities At Legoland Resort|

You could spend just as much time at the hotel as you can at the main amusement park in my opinion. The lobby is pure magic. Painted cloud ceilings, pirate ships, castles and an endless amount of Lego pieces to build whatever creation your little desires.

This little detail was delightful! You could make a postcard at the art station and post it to a friend in the world.

Check the schedule of when Minifigures walk around the lobby because it’s the perfect place to take a photo with them. The lines are usually shorter than in the main park and you know exactly when they will be there.

There is a pool located on the upper floors of the hotel. If you choose not to go to the water park you can still enjoy time by the pool. I would strongly recommend you do go to the water park, it’s wonderful!

Photo Op|

This is our second time to Legoland so I have gathered some tips from our last two trips to give you the perfect photo opportunities.

  1. Observation Tower in Imagination Land - From the op of the Observation Tower in Imagination Land you can get a great panoramic shot of the whole park and especially the Legoland Hotel.

2. The front entrance of the Legoland Hotel has an incredible facade with minifigures and a dragon adorned. Wait for cars to pass for the best photo.

3. Hotel Lobby - The best time to snap a group photo in the hotel lobby is actually during park hours as most families are inside the park.

4. Minifigure Wall - Located behind the desk attendance and concierge at the lobby check in is a large wall completely covered in minifigurines. It makes for a great background!

5. Back Entrance of The Hotel - As you exit the park or enter the hotel from the back there are columns aligned with multiple minifigures. This is the best shot to get up close and personal with the minifigures.
