San Juan Japanese Eateries + Markets

We visited Japan in October of 2016 and the fondness of that trip has never waned. The food, art, culture, washi tape (ha!) and organization of Tokyo were all so fantastic to experience, even for a short time. I know Filipinos also enjoy traveling, especially to Japan so it is no wonder there is an influx of Japanese restaurants in Manila. We stumbled on a few recently in Greenhills, San Juan during our #manilabyfoot dates and I am so happy to share two Japanese markets and eateries with you.

We lunched at Salad Stop and Carousel Creamery in Greenhills but poked our head around to see what else the area had to offer. On the lower level of the Cullilan Prime Building was a small and unassuming Japanese store, Washoku Toyoda. We poked around and were greeted with items, candies and ingredients all from Japan! We were fortunate to learn that the owners had a restaurant directly upstairs as well. It only took one week before we were back to experience a meal at Washoku Toyoda.

On our third week of walking dates to Greenhills, San Juan, we happened by Konbini Store Tokyo Market. We just popped our head in to see what goodies could be found and we learned there was a restaurant as well. Lucky us!
